I am a born Saint Louisan. Raised in the St. Louis suburb of Ballwin, I grew up as a West County Girl. My parents moved to Ballwin in 1958 when Manchester Road was only two lanes and beyond Ellisville the road was no longer paved! I spent a great deal of my time on a family member’s farm near Eureka. This gave me a true town and country lifestyle. Riding breeches to dresses in the same day was not unusual.
